Brian Eno Calls On Backing to Send Together for Palestine Track to UK Holiday Chart Peak.

A campaign is aiming to propel a Palestinian lullaby to the Christmas number one spot. The effort hopes to provide aid to Gaza's residents while also showcasing Palestinian artistic heritage.

A Possibility for Solidarity and an "Unlikely Coup"

Composer and producer Brian Eno, who contributes to the track, stated that the song titled Lullaby represents a moment to support Palestinians over the Christmas period. He acknowledged the potential for an unlikely festive coup.

“It would be incredible if that happened, yes,” he said. “I won't be completely disheartened if it doesn't manage to, Christmas singles are a category of their own.”

Defiant Message of Self-Determination

Palestinian singer Nai Barghouti, who features in the reimagining of a traditional lullaby called Yamma Mwel El Hawa, explained the song's defiant core message.

“It occupies a very special place for a lot of people,” Barghouti explained. “The essence is that I would prefer a dignified death than exist without freedom. This is the primary message of the song; we want to live a life of dignity that we deserve as Palestinians.”

Production History and Featured Artists

The single was laid down in the wake of a large-scale benefit event held in the autumn. Originally intended to be performed and recorded live, the piece was shelved during the concert due to time constraints.

The notable list of musicians appearing on Lullaby includes a range of acclaimed names from the scene. All participated in the September show, which reportedly raised a considerable total for humanitarian aid.

Final Touches and Availability

Lullaby was produced by a group of music creators. The track blends a combination of the traditional Arabic lyrics with contemporary English verses.

The team running the project have emphasized that their goal is to raise as much as possible for a dedicated fund. These proceeds will be allocated to projects in Palestine through an partnering humanitarian organization.

“We haven't set a rigid aim,” a figure commented. “We’ll go for as much as possible. Of course, the greater the amount, the better. All proceeds are directed out to Gaza.”

The reality in the territory was characterized as its widespread damage, with a vast majority of property said to be in ruins or severely impacted.

“Against that backdrop, a few million doesn’t make an enormous impact. But I think what truly matters is above all making this cause better known and proving there’s another side to the story.”

The track is set to be released this Friday. Additionally, a video of the charity concert will be made ready to watch on a popular streaming site from later in the month.
